Snowkiting is an exciting hybrid between kite surfing and snowboarding or skiing, and the perfect sport for adrenaline junkies on the look-out for a new kick. Since the early 2000s, this extreme sport started taking off with a large community of fans pushing extreme “freestyle” techniques all around the world. And it is no surprise to us, since snowkiting combines the best of winter and water sports: infinite snow-covered mountain landscapes, dizzying descents and the challenging power of the wind. A sport, which demands alertness, skills and technique. Thus, making it a real challenge for those who like taking it to the limit!
In late August, the Dark Dog Snowkite Festival 2013 took place in the Corralco ski resort in Chile, organized by SIDE ON. An ideal opportunity for the passionate and novice riders to share , enjoy and explore new experiences in the snow, accompanied by breathtaking views of the Lonquimay volcano and its ancient forests. A huge success with three full of action and good energy, alongside with championships, free ride and incredible parties that made this an unforgettable event.
We also want to thank the Flow Concept team for capturing the incredible energy of the Dark Dog Snowkite Festival 2013 in these stunning images and entertaining video. Enjoy!
