Over 300 racers participated in this race in different categories. There was a high level of competition. The heat and the dust were tough companions on the track.
There were three specials for this race. The first stage started of with a steep ascent. The descent combined speed and technique. The following part passed right through the village Curacaví, which required all participants to pay attention to traffic, as it was not redirected for the race. The third part passed through the two rock gardens, at the beginning and in the middle to reach the finish line and the base camp.
Our guys finished well, Javier Tagle and Juanjo Valverde made it to the podium in their respective categories.
The person who left a great impression on everyone during the event was 14-year old Felipe Agurto who came in first in the Junior category. He’s not even old enough yet for category he was racing in, so it’s safe to say that he is a promising talent to watch out for in the future.
As always the lens of Dogman Photos captured some of the best moments and the photo credit for the pictures you see in this post go all to him.
